The Songs That Find Us
Lizzie thinks the difficult years are behind her.
She has a happy marriage, a career she loves, and a daughter beginning to find her place in the world. But after her husband Ed receives a devastating diagnosis, long-buried secrets surface — shattering everything Lizzie believes about their life together.
Now Ed is desperate to set things right before his memories slip away.
Meanwhile, their adopted daughter Beck is searching for answers of her own that could change the family forever.
Through it all, Lizzie rediscovers her love of singing, bringing together a community where friendship, kindness and music forge unexpected connections — and perhaps a way back to one another.
More About Me

Talking about writing and storytelling on BBC radio.
Sharing my work and the journey behind the words.

I write commercial women's fiction exploring family relationships, the power of community, resilience and the choices that shape our lives. My novels are for readers who enjoy uplifting, thought-provoking stories that spark discussion.
I'm a prize-winning journalist with more than 20 years' experience writing and sub-editing for newspapers and magazines. My work has appeared in regional and national publications, including Prima, Best, Take a Break, Prima Baby, Woman and Dogs Today.
Away from my desk, I teach piano, sing in a choir and play the tenor horn. Many of my story ideas come while listening to music or walking Betty, my cockapoo, through muddy fields near my home in the Cotswolds.
